Please do your best to avoid fertilizer use in your yard.

The fertilizer in the runoff makes its way to the BBH Lakes and causes blooms of unwanted blue green algae and encourages the growth of invasive plants.

Please also avoid discarding lawn clippings into BBH Lakes. This further creates a nutrient density in the lakes that encourages the growth of blue green algae and invasive plants and poses risks to aquatic creatures by using up oxygen in the water as they decompose.
