Thank you to everyone that has sent in alligator sightings and photos. We are working with Wildlife and Fisheries assigned trapper, Jay Laparouse, to remove the alligator.

Please remember that in South Louisiana, it is important to always assume that there could be an alligator in any body of fresh water and to proceed with caution.

When we do see alligators, we work with W&F approved trappers to remove the alligators safely and legally.

Mr. Laparouse said that due to rising water levels, alligator sightings in Baton Rouge neighborhoods are up right now.
